Autism Spectrum Disorder
A lifelong developmental condition affecting communication, social interaction and sensory processing. Early intervention and the right support team make a significant difference.
ADHD
Affects focus, impulse control and activity levels. One of the most common neurodevelopmental conditions in Australia. NDIS funding may be available where it causes significant functional impairment.
Cerebral Palsy
A group of permanent movement disorders affecting muscle control, coordination and posture. One of the most commonly funded conditions under the NDIS.
Down Syndrome
A genetic condition caused by an extra chromosome 21. Affects learning, development and health in different ways. Most people with Down syndrome are eligible for the NDIS.
Intellectual Disability
Affects a person's ability to learn, reason and adapt to daily life. One of the primary disability groups supported by the NDIS, with funding for a wide range of supports.
Physical Disability
Affects mobility, dexterity or stamina. Causes include spinal cord injury, multiple sclerosis, muscular dystrophy and many other conditions. NDIS funds therapy, assistive technology and personal care.
